Antisocial behaviour affects the lives of everyone. We're working with partner agencies to help find solutions here at Fanning in Canterbury. The creation of this neighbourhood resource centre has made a big difference. Um, you quite often find that in communities without resources like this, uh, there's a misconception of antisocial behaviour. Uh, that probably comes from, uh, you hanging around in the street corners. Haven't got else to do, uh, where this prevented that. I think that this resource centre is an absolutely fantastic place. It it helps with the community coming in. They can use all the resources, makes my job really easy because I know where all the kids are. They're gonna be playing football or playing pool, and it gives you an opportunity to to interact with all groups and people. The centre offers a range of activities to all ages and means the police can work with the community and a scene in a whole new light. And the kids love them anyway, cos they're great. They're joining everything. Be it being, um, having that sponges thrown at them in the stocks or spray painting with the kids. Um, no, they're fantastic. We we really appreciate having them here. Since the centre opened, there has been a marked decline in crime and vandalism in the area. The facilities here include a floodlit play area after school clubs and specialist tuition. It's a great bonus. We're very thankful that we have it because, uh, some some of the states don't have anything to do. He's actually given it a bit more help and hope for the future. For that so it's very, very well. I think it's very, very good. It's pretty good because instead of being indoors or bored or out on the streets, we had to go in there and use the pool table and get to play football with Kent. Police's safer spring campaign aims to tackle antisocial behaviour by helping each community to find the solutions to the problems it identifies. It's essential that we reflect what the communities tell us is important to them and in the aspects that you've covered. These are really important issues to those local communities and we're very pleased to be working with them to provide solutions.
