On the day of your test, you'll need to take these with you. Your photo driving license (bằng lái xe), you'll need both parts of this, your theory test pass certificate (chứng chỉ vượt qua bài thi lý thuyết), and your appointment letter (thư hẹn) or booking number (số đặt lịch). If you've got an old-style paper license (bằng lái xe giấy kiểu cũ), you'll also need to take a valid passport (hộ chiếu hợp lệ) with you. Remember these, or you won't be able to take your test. When you get to the test center (trung tâm thi), your examiner (giám thị) will check through your paperwork (giấy tờ) in the waiting room (phòng chờ). They'll also ask you if you want your driving instructor (giáo viên dạy lái xe) or accompanying driver (người đi kèm) to come with you on your test and be there at the end for the result and feedback (phản hồi). This is beneficial (có lợi) for your driving development (quá trình phát triển kỹ năng lái xe).

So don't forget to talk to your instructor (giáo viên dạy lái xe) and make sure they know this is what you'd like to happen. Your test will last about 38 to 40 minutes (38 đến 40 phút). You'll do an eyesight check (kiểm tra thị lực), be asked some safety questions (câu hỏi về an toàn giao thông), and then go out on the road. You'll drive in various road and traffic conditions (các điều kiện giao thông và đường xá khác nhau), and also be asked to drive independently (tự lái xe) for approximately 10 minutes (10 phút), either by following traffic signs (biển báo giao thông) or a series of verbal directions (hướng dẫn bằng lời), or perhaps a combination (kết hợp) of both.
